Precious Answered Prayer

Sitting on a bookshelf in my Kingdom Corner, the place I meet the Three in One every morning, is something I found almost five years ago. It was left in my daughter, Stacie's house after she moved to Heaven. She called it God's Box, a heart-shaped tin filled with heart-shaped paper, each one with a written prayer request. She told me that these were the requests that she couldn't do anything about, so she turned them over to God and put them in His Box until He took care of them. When answered, she'd write the date over the request. 

Stacie didn't know what the title would eventually be, but she had written on one heart, "Winny and Ginny published." When I opened that little tin that day and saw the request, I can't even tell you what I felt in my heart. To know that my dear daughter had wanted this story published so much that she put the request in God's Box was so precious to me. I put the box on my bookshelf and in late 2015, I got out that piece of paper and wrote the date it was answered, the day Book I of my Tresia series was released.

I'm pleased to announce that Book II, A Quite Extraordinary Umbrella, will be released on May 1, 2017. However, it is available now on my publishers website (see link below) and will soon be available on the Amazon and Barnes and Noble websites in softcover, hardcover, and ebook.
 
This series is upper-middle grade inspirational fantasy, but I've had readers of all ages. Many of them who know our family, have told me they see both Stacie and me in Winny. That's true, and yes, Winny and other favorite characters are back in Book II, along with many new characters. I hope you will want to find out for yourself more about these characters from my imagination, so dear to Stacie's and my heart, and their universe called Tresia. The books are filled with hidden treasures, exciting and dangerous journeys, but most importantly, underlying truths from God's Word for kids and anyone who loves one.

I'm pretty sure Stacie is happy that her prayer was answered and I wouldn't be surprised if she had a copy of both books on a bookshelf in her mansion. The high realm of Tresia is a glimpse into what I like to think it will be like where Stacie is now. Sometimes, I close my eyes and almost hear her say, "Way to go, Mom!" I've said it before, and sang it many times, but it's more true every day. Heaven's sounding sweeter all the time. In the mean time, there's Tresia.
